Job summary

University of Vermont Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Tech I to operate x-ray equipment and perform routine radiographs across radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures. This role reports to Radiologists, Supervisors and Lead Technologists, with shift variety and possible on-call duties.

The position requires ARRT certification and state licensing, with potential work across multiple campuses and on weekends or holidays

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT.
• ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.
• ARRT certification and Vermont license currently active.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in all Radiology areas.
• Work under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists.
• May require working varied shifts at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Diagnostic Imaging Tech I demonstrates knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the radiology department. They operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in all Radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures and the use of the c-arm, according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work a variety of shifts, at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE:

ARRT certified and hold a current license with the State of Vermont.
