Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Tech I to perform routine radiographs across radiology areas including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopy and OR procedures. You will operate x-ray equipment under supervision and may be scheduled for evenings or nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a union position.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program and ARRT certification with Vermont license.

Qualifications

• ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT.
• ARRT certification and Vermont license are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in Radiology.
• Work in Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures with c-arm.
• Follow established practices under Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Diagnostic Imaging Tech I demonstrates knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the radiology department. They operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs in all Radiology areas, including Orthopedic Clinic, Fluoroscopic and Operating Room procedures and the use of the c-arm, according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work a variety of shifts, at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE

ARRT certified and hold a current license with the State of Vermont.

This is a bargaining union position.
