The role performs diagnostic CT procedures, operates CT equipment, and participates in radiation safety and general safety practices at all times to ensure patient and staff safety. Ideal candidate will hold a Medical Imaging Program degree, ARRT (or NMTCB) certification within 6 months of hire, and WV (or applicable state) radiography licensure with Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Radiography certification (ARRT or NMTCB) within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess current or temporary Radiography license as required by state.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare room and equipment for patient exams, maintain sterile technique.
• Perform CT examinations per physician orders and relay patient history to Radiologist.
• Observe equipment and patient, document variations, and transport patients as needed.
• Use PACS to ensure exams are available for radiologist review.
• Maintain proper film labeling and quality control.
• Assist in safety and infection control per department policies.
