Job summary

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as RN or Registered Dietitian in the applicable state.
• CDCES preferred; if not certified, certification within two years preferred but not to exceed three years.
• Degree in Nursing, Dietetics, or related discipline meeting CDCES eligibility; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead diabetes education sessions for individuals and groups on management of diabetes.
• Assess learning needs, goals, and barriers; tailor educational interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop care plans.
• Document and bill CMS and payer requirements for DSMT and MNT services.
• Stay current on ADA/ADCES standards and diabetes care developments.
