Job summary

Princeton Staffing Solutions in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a school-setting role. The position supports K-12 students in a public school district, with a 37.5-hour workweek and a 10/26/26–2/26/27 dates window.

Required qualifications include a DHH endorsement (Bachelor's or Master's in Deaf/ Special Education) and a valid Florida teaching license. ASL fluency is preferred. Benefits are provided through the agency and district collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Deaf Education or Special Education with DHH endorsement.
• Valid State Teaching License with DHH credential or endorsement.
• ASL fluency preferred or required by district.
• Minimum 1 year as a school-based DHH teacher.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing using ASL, lip-reading, and written English.
• Utilize assistive technology (hearing aids, FM systems, captioning) to support communication and learning.
• Develop and adapt instructional materials based on IEP goals and language abilities.
• Provide direct and consultative services to students across educational environments.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, SLPs, interpreters, and related service providers to ensure access and accommodations.
• Support students' language development, academic progress, and social-emotional growth.
• Advocate for students with hearing impairments to ensure inclusive practices and accommodations.
• Maintain documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
