Responsibilities

• Maintain IDEXA radiology area per protocol.
• Position patient for views; apply immobilization; adjust exposure.
• Explain procedures to reduce patient anxiety.
• Apply radiation protection and shielding techniques.
• Acquire acceptable radiographic images per QC standards.
• Perform QC checks and report malfunctions.
• Obtain signature from interpreting physician.
• Complete EMR documentation for bone densitometry.
• Enter final report in EMR promptly.
• Maintain radiographic film library and retrieve films as needed.
