Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality DEXA imaging according to physician orders and protocols.
  • Verify patient identity and orders for accuracy before imaging.
  • Explain procedures and position patients for optimal images.
  • Operate and maintain DEXA equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Ensure ALARA safety principles are followed at all times.
  • Document patient information and imaging records in EMR/RIS systems.
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance as scheduled.
  • Support clinical accreditation and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Maintain infection control and patient safety protocols.
