Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a DEXA Technologist for our imaging practice in Palmetto Bay, FL. This on-site role focuses on bone density exams, adherence to ALARA, and accurate documentation while collaborating with radiologists to maintain high image quality.

The ideal candidate holds an ARRT license with Bone Density certification, an Associate's Degree in Radiology Technology, and experience with Hologic equipment.

• Active ARRT license with Bone Density Certification already obtained.
• Associate's Degree in Radiology Technology.
• Cross-training opportunities and mammography certification bonus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bone density exams per physician orders, following equipment guidelines and clinical protocol.
• Follow ALARA radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff at every step.
• Confirm patient identity and orders, and keep documentation accurate and up to date.
• Partner with the radiologist to keep image quality high and repeat scans low.
• Handle routine equipment upkeep, including software updates and scheduled maintenance.
• Step in for occasional emergency X-ray coverage when the need arises.

DEXA Technologist

Palmetto Bay, FL | On-Site | $75,000 - $95,000 | Full-Time

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Conduct bone density exams per physician orders, following equipment guidelines and clinical protocol
• Follow ALARA radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff at every step
• Confirm patient identity and orders, and keep documentation accurate and up to date
• Partner with the radiologist to keep image quality high and repeat scans low
• Handle routine equipment upkeep, including software updates and scheduled maintenance
• Step in for occasional emergency X-ray coverage when the need arises

Qualifications:

• Active ARRT license with Bone Density Certification already obtained
• Associate's Degree in Radiology Technology
• Prior experience with Hologic equipment is a big plus
• Mammography certification is a bonus, with cross-training opportunities available
