Hmixray in California is seeking a DEXA Technologist to perform high-quality DEXA and radiographic services, ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will adjust equipment and collaborate with physicians to support accurate imaging results.

The role requires ARRT certification or state license, experience in a high-volume setting, and a valid BLS certification to uphold patient care standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification or state license may be required depending on state regulations.
• Experience in a high-volume imaging setting.
• High school diploma or GED required; BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality DEXA (Bone Density) and diagnostic radiographic services within licensure.
• Monitors patient well-being during exams; recognizes discomfort or problems and acts accordingly.
• Evaluates radiographs and DEXA scans for technical quality.
• Responds to physician questions regarding exams.
• Adjusts scales, field of view, gain, voltage, amps and other settings to produce high quality images.
• Safeguards patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards medications on site per policies and legal requirements.
• Maintains professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respects patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Interacts diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships.
