Job summary

Millennial Software is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join the team and deliver a complex software application into operations. You will collaborate with a talented group to grow your skills in DevSecOps, IaC, and containerized architectures at a classified government site.

The ideal candidate has strong scripting, Terraform/Ansible, Kubernetes, and CI/CD expertise, plus a proactive, self-starting attitude for rapid delivery.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI CI Poly and active clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience (or 4+ years with a Graduate Degree).
• Experience with automated deployment technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Linux system administration experience (RedHat 8/9).
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python).
• Prior experience using Kubernetes to orchestrate Docker containers.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Utilize scripting to move tools from production into operation.
• Coordinate solutions between technical/operational staff at a classified government site and end-users in the field.
• Collaborate with customers, operations, and development teams to solve problems in production.
• Maintain knowledge of engineering practices and solutions.
• Evaluate and implement automated test tools and CI/CD strategies.
• Set up and maintain EC2 and containerized environments for development, test, and operations.
• Contribute to CICD pipeline design and automation.
• Support agile development activities including sprint planning and code reviews.
• Maintain clean, documented, and testable code.
