Job summary

SAIC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Precision Fires DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure development infrastructure and cloud-based services that enable mission-critical software delivery.

You will work in an Agile environment to improve CI/CD, infrastructure automation, developer tooling, and operational performance while ensuring security and compliance across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years relevant experience; 6 years may substitute.
• Active Interim Secret clearance with ability to obtain Secret; US citizenship required.
• Experience across the DevOps lifecycle including CI/CD and security.
• Cloud deployment experience and Azure DevOps proficiency.
• IaC tooling experience with Terraform or similar.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one scripting language.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure DevOps/DevSecOps for the lifecycle.
• Deploy and maintain cloud-based development environments for reliability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Manage Azure DevOps source control, pipelines, and artifacts.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Evaluate AI tools to improve automation while maintaining security.
• Manage releases across Development, Test, Staging, and Production.
• Collaborate with software, systems, cybersecurity, and leadership.
• Draft DevOps standards, governance, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve performance.
• Create architecture documentation and procedures.
