Job summary

Technical Consulting Solutions, Inc. seeks a Senior Dev/Sec/Ops Engineer to join our GMD program in Huntsville, AL. You will design, implement, and sustain cybersecurity technologies across Linux and Windows, including cloud and on-premises environments.

You will document all enhancements, perform code reviews, and ensure CI/CD workflows are optimized for a secure, scalable government system. In-person work is required at 100% and DoD clearance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field with 8 years of experience; or Master’s with 6 years, or 4 years with a PhD.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or CISSP).
• Strong systems administrator experience in Windows/Linux environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with DevSecOps practices for large-scale government systems.
• Agile practices and principles for delivering high-quality products.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus.
• Experience with airgap environments, classified cloud environments, and government networks.
• Experience with security coding standards, static/dynamic analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity).
• Ability to write/review software code (Java, Python).
• Current US Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• Ability to support in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deliver, and sustain cybersecurity technologies for the GMD weapon system.
• Document enhancements with SOPs, docs, and software plans.
• Program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Choose appropriate languages per component based on requirements.
• Review current systems to understand business needs for applications.
• Develop DevSecOps templates for rapid CI/CD workflows.
• Maintain DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and system deployments.
• Provide SME during evaluation of technologies for integration.
• Fully document development efforts with comments, tickets, and docs.
• Ensure minimal production workload impact during deployments.
• Identify emerging tech like ML/AI for better support.
