Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a developer relations-focused engineer to build community and create technical content for our open-source tools (Vite, Vitest, Rolldown, Oxc, Vite+). You will teach developers through writing, videos, talks, and tutorials, while shaping product direction with user feedback.

The role blends hands-on coding with educational outreach, blog posts, and conference talks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a software engineer, ML engineer, or in developer relations, with hands-on coding ability.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the JavaScript ecosystem.
• Experience building community across Twitter, Discord, and YouTube.
• Track record of developer content: blog posts, talks, tutorials, and videos.
• Clear spoken and written communication.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Passion for open source and developer communities.

Responsibilities

• Create content end to end. Teach developers how to use our products through writing, videos, talks, and code. This spans documentation, technical video content, live streaming, and rich tutorials.
• Represent the user during product discussions. Bring feedback, problems, and papercuts from the community back to our product teams to shape how our tools are built.
• Grow the community of developers using our products. Cultivate and establish relationships throughout the developer community and be a thoughtful, empathetic point of contact.
• Collaborate across the open-source ecosystem. Work with peers, partners, and maintainers to ship content showing how to integrate and extend the VoidZero projects.
• Partner across the company. Collaborate with product development, engineering, and marketing to ensure our content aligns with broader company and ecosystem goals.
