Job summary

The Vibrant Talent Group is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, venture-backed tech company for a Developer Advocate role. You will be the face of a developer-first product in the communities that matter—online and in person.

You will create content, build relationships, ship projects that give developers a reason to trust and adopt the platform, and work with Product, Engineering, and Marketing so that developer feedback shapes what gets built.

Qualifications

• Strong developer background with hands-on coding experience.
• Proven ability to create tutorials, guides, and demos that developers use.
• Active participation in developer communities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive awareness and adoption of developer tools within communities.
• Create technical content — tutorials, guides, demos, sample apps, blog posts, and video — that helps developers understand and get value from the product.
• Build side projects and proofs-of-concepts that explore the product's capabilities and push its technical boundaries.
• Maintain an active presence in developer communities: Discord, X, GitHub, Reddit, Stack Overflow, forums, conferences, and meetups.
• Test and give feedback on new features and documentation from a developer's point of view.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing on launches, content, and product narratives.
• Represent the company at events — speaking, hosting, workshops, and hallway conversations.
• Identify and propose new ways to expand community reach and engagement.

Our client's product is used by developer communities ranging from individual builders to teams inside some of the largest companies in the world. This is a technical, product-led organization that values ownership, hands-on building, and showing your work over talking about it.

About the Role

You'll be the face of a developer-first product in the communities that matter — online and in person. You'll also work closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing so that what you're hearing from developers actually shapes what gets built.

Requirements

• Software or developer experience is a must — a background as a developer, engineer, or technical builder
• Experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, developer marketing, or technical education is required
• A track record of shipping something developers actually used — content, tutorials, demos, open-source projects, a personal blog, or an engaged online following
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, useful content across written, video, and/or spoken formats
• Genuine, active participation in developer communities — not just broadcasting, but engaging
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bonus: experience with AI coding tools, video production skills, or an existing engaged personal audience
