Trail of Bits in the United States is hiring a Developer Relations Engineer to amplify our public work and deepen ties with security practitioners, researchers, maintainers, and open-source communities. You will report to the Head of Go-to-Market and collaborate with engineering and GTM teams.

The role emphasizes publishing, presentations, workshops, and building adoption of our tools, with no quota and no account list, and travel about a quarter of the year.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of security experience with researchers and engineers.
• Experience building credible, open-source software and docs.
• Ability to read unfamiliar code and contribute patches.
• Strong writing and public speaking skills.
• Willingness to travel about a quarter of the year.

Responsibilities

• Grow relationships across the security community and start new ones.
• Own baseline event presence at conferences and meetups.
• Support and mentor open-source projects and maintainers.
• Turn research into practitioner materials with Marketing and Editorial.
• Publish deep-dives and tutorials.
• Identify speaking opportunities and help engineers prepare talks.
• Ship runnable examples and integrations that fit workflows.
