TechDigital Group is seeking a ServiceNow Database Developer to design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow data models and integration pipelines. You will work in a DevOps environment to ensure data integrity and performant data flows across enterprise systems.

The role emphasizes building table structures, managing imports/exports, and implementing data governance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support analytics and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ServiceNow platform experience with data architecture, import/transform, and GlideRecord scripting.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiar with CMDB structure, CI relationships and data modeling, plus REST/SOAP integration basics.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage ServiceNow table structures including custom tables, extensions, and relationships.
• Develop and maintain data import/export pipelines using Import Sets, Transform Maps, and Data Sources.
• Build and optimize queries with GlideRecord, GlideAggregate, and encodedquery; address perf bottlenecks.
• Design data migration strategies for upgrades, consolidations, or onboarding initiatives.
• Develop integrations moving data between ServiceNow and external systems (RDBMS, data warehouses, REST/SOAP).
• Collaborate with developers and admins to align data models with architecture and best practices.
• Partner with analytics teams to design performant data foundations for dashboards and analytics.
• Implement data governance: field security, classification, audit fields, retention policies.
• Contribute to CI/CD by managing schema changes via Update Sets or source control.

DevOps – ServiceNow Database Developer

Position Summary

The ServiceNow Database Developer is responsible for the design, development, andmaintenance of data models, data integrations, and database-layer components within theServiceNow platform. Working within a DevOps model, this role combines deep ServiceNowdata architecture expertise with broader database engineering skills to ensure data integrity,performance, and seamless data flows across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage ServiceNow table structures, including custom tables, tableextensions, dictionary entries, relationships, and database views.
• Develop and maintain data import/export pipelines using ServiceNow Import Sets,Transform Maps, and Data Sources.
• Build and optimize complex queries using GlideRecord, GlideAggregate, and encodedquery syntax; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in database operations.
• Design and implement data migration strategies for platform upgrades, instanceconsolidations, or system onboarding initiatives.
• Develop and maintain integrations that move data between ServiceNow and externalsystems (relational databases, data warehouses, REST/SOAP endpoints, ETL pipelines).
• Collaborate with the ServiceNow Developer and Administrator to ensure data modelchanges align with application architecture and platform best practices.
• Partner with reporting and analytics teams to design performant data foundations fordashboards and Performance Analytics indicators.
• Implement data governance standards: field-level security, data classification, audit fields,and retention policies within ServiceNow.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by managing database-layer changes through Update Sets orsource control and ensuring schema changes are tested and documented.
• Provide expertise in relational database concepts (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) asthey relate to ServiceNow's underlying architecture.
• Perform data audits, cleansing activities, and deduplication efforts to maintain high dataquality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (orequivalent experience).
• 3+ years of ServiceNow platform experience with a focus on data architecture,import/transform, and GlideRecord scripting.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database systems (SQL Server, MySQL,or PostgreSQL).
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow's CMDB structure, CI relationships, and data model.
• Experience with REST/SOAP API data integration patterns.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices: version control, CI/CD, and structured releasemanagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist– CMDB (CIS-CMDB).
• Experience with ETL tools or data integration platforms (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Boomi).
• Knowledge of ServiceNow IntegrationHub and MID Server configuration.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience supporting CMDB Discovery and Service Mapping.
