Job summary

IAMUS Consulting seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team onsite at Fort Meade, MD. You will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure the reliability and scalability of services in a DoD-regulated environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps, strong Kubernetes and AWS experience, Terraform/Ansible proficiency, and a Secret clearance. You will mentor engineers and drive CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI; DoD 8140/8570 compliance.
• 5+ years in DevOps engineering or software development; or 3 years with relevant master's.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) for infra deployment and management.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience in automation, deployment, monitoring, and OS deployment in Linux.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go; comfortable in terminal environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; AGILE experience; tech leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues.
• Continuously improve processes and tools for high availability and performance.
• Mentor and lead engineering teams as needed.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
