Job summary

BlackLine is seeking a DevOps/ Site Reliability Engineer in New York to build, secure, and operate the production environment as it migrates to the cloud. You will own CI/CD pipelines, implement observability, and drive security hardening and data privacy across services.

You will collaborate with engineering to enhance reliability, scalability, and release velocity, while supporting migration of cloud services and defining disaster recovery processes.

Qualifications

• IaC experience with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate provisioning and management of infrastructure.
• 3+ years of designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• 3+ years of cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• 3+ years of hands-on Docker and Kubernetes for packaging, deployment, and management across environments.
• 3+ years of monitoring and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• 3+ years of scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead GCP migration and modernization initiatives including IAM, networking, and IaC.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, standardize environments.
• Implement and maintain observability, logging, and alerting across services.
• Drive security hardening: key rotation, access controls, vulnerability remediation.
• Support data privacy and compliance by improving data handling and retention.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve reliability, scalability, and release velocity.
• Support migration and optimization of cloud services (compute, storage, messaging, databases).
• Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
