Job summary

BlackLine Systems Inc is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to assess and improve performance, reliability, and security for production applications. You will lead the cloud migration roadmap and ensure enterprise-grade security and compliance across the platform.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, implement observability and alerting, and drive infrastructure as code and automation to support scalable, resilient services.

Qualifications

• IaC tools with 3+ years of experience (Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation).
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• 3+ years on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• 3+ years hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes for packaging and deployments.
• 3+ years setting up monitoring/logging with Prometheus, Grafana or ELK Stack.
• 3+ years scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell for automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of GCP migration and modernization initiatives, including IAM, networking, and IaC.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and environment standardization.
• Implement and maintain observability, logging, and alerting across all services.
• Drive security hardening initiatives including key rotation and access controls.
• Support data privacy and compliance by improving data handling and retention controls.
• Partner with engineering to improve reliability, scalability, and release velocity.
• Support migration and optimization of cloud services (compute, storage, messaging, databases).
• Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
