DevOps Architect

Job Overview

DevOps Architect opportunity to manage and enhance the DevOps process, focusing on improving collaboration between development and operations teams. The primary responsibility is to design and implement strategies that ensure efficient software delivery. The successful candidate will have a background in development processes, operations, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities of a DevOps Architect

• Support the timely delivery of high-quality changes to production via strong, secure infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate with technologists to deliver smooth deployment, automation, and management of cloud infrastructure.
• Share best practices with others within development and related roles to enhance their knowledge and practice of DevOps.
• Take ownership of observation, monitoring, and alerts processes.
• Conduct security investigation and remediation.
• Provide knowledge and influence on policies and procedures for HA systems.
• Automate software deployment and configuration processes.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance software infrastructure.

DevOps Architect Requirements

• A four-year degree in CS, Software Engineering, or IT. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• 4+ years of DevOps/SRE experience ownership in an enterprise-level environment.
• Professional experience with consumer-facing products.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS ECS, Terraform, DataDog, WAFs, and AWS IAM.
• Experience with quickly scaling environments.
• DevOps security best practices highly desired.
• Proficiency in GNU/Linux.
• Security and networking knowledge.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills demonstrated by driving successful large-scale infrastructure projects spanning multiple teams.
• Data-driven experience planning, delivering, and validating improvements to scalability, costs, and performance optimizations.

Salary Expectations

The salary for this position is up to $150k annually.
