Join to apply for the DevOps Architect role at WeCare Medical Specialty Group

WeCare Medical Specialty Group is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate specialty medical care. We are committed to leveraging technology to enhance patient outcomes, streamline operations, and empower our medical professionals. As we continue to grow and innovate, we are seeking a talented and experienced Remote DevOps Architect to lead our efforts in building and maintaining a robust, scalable, and efficient infrastructure.

Job Summary:

WeCare Medical Specialty Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote DevOps Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping our technology landscape. As a DevOps Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure, automation pipelines, and continuous delivery processes. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our critical healthcare applications and systems. This is a fully remote position, requiring the ability to work independently and effectively within a distributed team.

Responsibilities:

Architect and Design: Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions (primarily AWS).

Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline.

Containerization and Orchestration: Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes or AWS ECS).

Monitoring and Logging: Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or AWS CloudWatch.

Security and Compliance: Integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure design, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

Performance Optimization: Identify and implement strategies for optimizing the performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of our infrastructure and applications.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with development teams to understand their needs and provide guidance on DevOps best practices. Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve our DevOps practices and infrastructure capabilities.

Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and guide junior team members on DevOps principles and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.

Strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience with other cloud providers (Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Extensive experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes or AWS ECS).

Experience with monitoring and logging tools and practices.

Strong knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Experience working in a regulated industry, particularly healthcare (HIPAA), is a significant advantage.

Required:

Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid and unrestricted US work permit. We are unable to sponsor visas for this position.
