The (USA) Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R, supports the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across multiple facilities. This role involves completing required documentation, assisting with capital expenditure planning, and performing preventive maintenance and repairs under supervision. The technician collaborates with management and business partners to identify priorities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. By adapting to change and continuously improving processes, this position contributes to efficient facility operations and cost control while upholding Walmart's standards of integrity and service excellence.

The team manages exterior facility projects, including landscaping, maintenance, and safety compliance aligned with OSHA standards. They oversee work assignments, material procurement, and budgeting to ensure quality and efficiency. Collaborating with internal and external partners, the team maintains safe, well-functioning environments that support store operations. Their proactive approach addresses facility needs, sustains operational excellence, and advances business goals. What you'll do

• Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R equipment under supervision.
• Collaborate with management, coworkers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and procedures.
• Manage company vehicles by coordinating maintenance, inspections, and documentation.
• Communicate progress and adapt to feedback while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring

• Experience performing HVAC/R preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting in compliance with safety regulations.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Option 1: 1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 2 years' Walmart store experience.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.

• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related area for commercial HVAC/R and building controls
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
