Monarch Healthcare is seeking a Developmental Specialist in Camden, NJ for a PRN, as-needed schedule. The role focuses on supporting individuals to achieve personal dreams and goals with a person-centered approach.

You will assess hopes, build community relationships, and help participants engage in activities aligned with their interests, while ensuring safety and advocacy. Training and sleepovers may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid drivers license (USA).
• Experience with mental health, IDD, or substance use disorder populations is not required.

Responsabilités

• Assess individuals hopes and supports to facilitate achievement.
• Help individuals develop relationships in their community and with natural supports.
• Assist individuals in participating in their community according to their interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals; support advocacy and use of personal advocates.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Foster person-centered relationships and self-determination.
• Contribute to assessments and planning and develop individualized plans.
• Document progress and complete required documentation and logs.
• Assist with daily living activities such as housekeeping, meals, laundry, shopping, and errands.
• Arrange or provide transportation as required.
• Teach safety procedures and conduct drills; ensure home and community safety.
• Mentor new staff and participate in training; sleepover may be required.
• Attend meetings and maintain required trainings and policies.
• Follow service definitions and perform other duties as assigned.
