Monarch Healthcare is seeking a Developmental Specialist to support people in achieving their personal dreams and goals. The role emphasizes person-centered, community-based supports and advocacy to promote self-determination.

You will assess needs, help build community connections, and document progress while ensuring safety and rights protection. A driver’s license and willingness to travel are required, with occasional sleepovers at residential settings as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals to identify hopes and goals and provide supports to achieve them.
• Help individuals build relationships in their community and with natural supports.
• Assist individuals in participating in community activities aligned with their interests.
• Promote the rights of individuals and help them develop advocacy skills.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Foster person-centered, positive relationships that support self-determination.
• Input and implement the individual’s plan, documenting progress and outcomes.
