Job summary

Behavioral Health Network is seeking a Developmental Specialist to work with children from birth to age three in family homes or community settings, creating individualized activities that support developmental growth and aligning with family priorities and values.

You will collaborate with families to develop treatment plans, access community resources, and ensure services are provided under Department of Public Health regulations, with play-based strategies tailored to each child’s environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and their families.
  • Strong knowledge of infant and child development, mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and treatment techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with families to develop and implement fun, individualized activities that support each child’s developmental goals
  • Collaborate with families to create treatment plans and assist them in accessing community resources
  • Provide services in accordance with Department of Public Health (DPH) regulations
  • Adapt activities to a variety of settings, ensuring engagement and growth in each child’s natural environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports on developmental assessments and progress notes
