Job summary

BFAIR in North Adams, MA is seeking a Developmental Specialist to work with 1–7 individuals in a site-based day program, providing skills training in independent living, communication, behavior, and self-help as outlined in each member's Day Habilitation Plan.

The role requires patience, strong communication, ability to supervise, and willingness to participate in safety procedures, with emphasis on person-centered approaches and collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to multi-task and exercise good judgement.
• Must pass CORI, SORI, fingerprinting, LEIE, driving record, E-verify, and health checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living skills and mobility tasks.
• Provide safety supervision and crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintain documentation and timesheets in electronic systems.
• Coordinate transportation and scheduling with staff.
• Attend trainings and meetings as assigned.
