Job summary

BFAIR is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Adams, MA to assist individuals with disabilities in a group home. You will help with daily living, personal care, housekeeping, meals, and community participation, while promoting independence and safety.

Responsibilities include following ISP plans, documenting progress, maintaining certifications, and coordinating with the House Manager. The role requires compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• HS Diploma or GED or 1 year related experience.
• Basic math skills (addition/subtraction) required.
• Must read and write and communicate effectively (verbal and written).
• Ability to multitask and exercise good judgement.
• Complete all required background checks and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting.
• Assist with daily living activities: personal care, housekeeping, meals, and transportation.
• Support participation in community activities and establish safe routines.
• Follow ISP plans, document progress, and ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Report incidents and emergencies per agency procedures.
