Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. is seeking a Payee Specialist in Dublin, OH, offering $45,000 per year for a full-time, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. role. The candidate will monitor client finances, ensure timely payments for basic needs, and maintain monthly reconciliations.

The position requires either a four-year degree or 3+ years of accounting/related experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. ViaQuest provides paid training, benefits, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Degree or substantial accounting experience considered (3+ years).
• Four-year degree in accounting, social services or human services is preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individual’s finances and benefits per service plan and policy.
• Ensure basic needs payments (rent, utilities) are made timely.
• Manage petty cash and spending money for individuals.
• Submit cost of living to county boards as applicable.
• Order checks for individuals in a timely manner.
• Set up online bill pay for individuals as applicable.
• Review monthly finance packets and reconcile bank accounts.
• Collaborate with Program Managers to ensure financial accuracy.

ViaQuest offers quality, highly-personalized, specialized and cost-effective care, solutions and services through Hospice, Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions, Day & Employment Services, and Residential Services.

Responsibilities may include:

• Monitor individual’s finances and benefits as outlined in the individual’s service plan and per company policy.
• Ensure individual’s basic needs such as rent, utilities, etc. are paid consistently and timely.
• Ensure spending money and petty cash is available at each site per the individual’s service plan.
• Submit cost of living to county boards, as applicable.
• Order checks for individuals timely.
• Set up online bill pay for individuals, as applicable.
• Review monthly finance packets and complete monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Work collaboratively with Program Managers and other management to ensure accuracy with individual’s finances.

Requirements for this position include:

• Candidates without a degree but who have 3+ years pf experience in accounting or developmental disabilities will also be considered.
• Four-year degree in accounting, social services or human services is preferred.
• Experience working in Microsoft products, such as Excel and Word.
