Monadnock Developmental Services offers paid internships for students interested in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Opportunities exist in home, community and employment settings with duties varying by the person served. Interns must be 18+ and enrolled in an educational program.

Prior experience is a plus but not required. Training includes online modules and 16 hours of direct supervision from a Program Manager/Mentor.

Qualificações

• Must be 18+ and enrolled in an educational program.
• Experience with people with developmental disabilities is a plus but not required.
• Complete all agency trainings (online modules and 16 hours direct supervision).

Responsabilidades

• Assist individuals to develop independent living skills (social, cooking, nutrition, communication).
• Help individuals access social and community participation activities.
• Provide coaching to learn employment-related skills and maintain employment.
• Offer feedback on grooming, communication, and behavior.
• Support individuals to achieve goals in their service plan and behavior plan.
• Document daily notes, logs, incident reports, progress notes, and other data timely.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace.
• Adhere to policies and protect confidentiality.
• Recognize and act on safety and welfare responsibilities.
