Job summary

Paid internship opportunities are available in Keene, NH for students interested in working with individuals with developmental disabilities. The internship can take place in home, community, or employment settings, with duties adapting to the person served and setting.

Interns must be 18 or older and enrolled in an educational program. Training includes online modules and 16 hours of supervision from a Program Manager/Mentor. Prior experience is a plus but not required.

• Training includes online modules and 16 hours direct supervision from a Program Manager/Mentor.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to develop and maintain independent living skills (social, cooking, nutrition, money management, community integration, health, personal hygiene).
• Assist individuals to access and engage in social, community participation activities.
• Provide individualized support to learn employment-related skills and maintain employment.
• Provide coaching and feedback in grooming, communication, and behavior.
• Support individuals to achieve goals outlined in their service agreement and behavior plan.
• Accurately document program data (daily notes, logs, reports, forms) in a timely manner.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain confidentiality.
