Job summary

Feeding Southwest Virginia is seeking a Development and Volunteer Manager to lead corporate and individual fundraising efforts and build a comprehensive volunteer program that supports the Abingdon facility and the region.

You will cultivate donor relationships, supervise volunteers, collaborate with the Development Team, and ensure clear communication with partners and program staff to advance our mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience soliciting donor gifts and building a donor pipeline.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate and individual fundraising efforts to grow philanthropic support.
• Build and manage a donor portfolio, including Moves Management.
• Recruit, train, and retain volunteers for the Abingdon facility and programs.
• Develop volunteer engagement strategies and coordinate with site leadership.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and donor recognition activities.
• Maintain donor records in the CRM system and prepare monthly reports.
