Job summary

The City of San Antonio is seeking an operations supervisor to oversee the commercial and residential development intake and plan review at the One Stop Center.

Responsibilities include supervising counter staff, coordinating with boards and commissions, and ensuring timely processing of plans and permits. A Bachelor's degree, four years of related experience, a Texas Driver's License, and ICC Permit Technician within one year are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of experience processing or supervising development related projects.
• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
• Must obtain ICC Certification as a Permit Technician within one year of employment.
• Preferred: ICC Permit Technician certification; experience with Accela software.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the overall operation of commercial, residential and licensing activity at the One Stop Counter, including plan in-take, counter plan review, trade permits and other activities.
• Coordinates work activity of the commercial, residential and licensing counter staff with other sections.
• Oversees consultation services regarding the commercial and residential development process.
• Develops goals and objectives for the section.
• Oversees and transports residential and commercial construction plans to City storage facilities and Bexar County Records.
• Meets with board members and commission staff at various locations for monthly meetings, training, and audit processes.
• Performs various administrative functions and other assigned duties.
