Job summary

The University of New Mexico's School of Engineering seeks a Development Assistant to provide direct administrative support to the Development team, coordinate events, and handle gift stewardship and reporting from Albuquerque, NM.

The role requires strong MS Word/Excel/Outlook, exceptional customer service, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with a focus on building relationships with alumni and donors and supporting fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of related work experience.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Bachelor’s degree (any area) or three to five years of administrative experience in higher education, non-profit, or similar environment.
  • Event management experience with small and large events.
  • Exceptional customer service is a plus.
  • High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook calendaring, MS Teams and Zoom.
