Groundworks New Mexico is seeking a Development Coordinator to support fundraising events, donor stewardship, grant initiatives, and development operations in Albuquerque. You will manage donor records, assist with communications, and coordinate volunteers while building community partnerships.
The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced nonprofit environment, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Coordinates fundraising events, donor stewardship, volunteer programs, grant support, and development operations. Manages event logistics, sponsorships, donor records, volunteer recruitment, communications, and administrative functions. Builds relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners while supporting fundraising initiatives, capital campaigns, reporting, scheduling, and overall development activities to advance organizational goals.
Supports grant writing and compliance, maintains development databases and donor records, coordinates volunteer programs, manages development communications and mailings, provides administrative support to development leadership, oversees purchasing and meeting logistics, tracks fundraising expenses, and ensures accurate documentation, scheduling, and operational support for development initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and relationship-building skills essential. Proficiency with Google Workspace; fundraising software experience preferred. Valid New Mexico driver's license and auto insurance required. Grant writing, nonprofit, or disability services experience preferred. Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and lift 25 pounds.
