Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking an Associate Director of Development Operations in New York to manage donor data infrastructure, oversee the donor database, and lead reporting and analytics for fundraising programs.

You will collaborate with Information Services, supervise the Gift Processor, and drive system enhancements, data hygiene, and workflow improvements across development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6+ years of experience in development operations, database administration, or nonprofit data management.
• Proficiency with donor CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge, or similar).
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with reporting tools, data segmentation, and mailing production.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of all Blackbaud products, including configuration, data integrity, user permissions, and documentation.
• Serve as the primary liaison with IT for system integrations, troubleshooting, and technology needs.
• Oversee data imports, exports, global updates, and routine system maintenance.
• Support implementation of new software tools, integrations, and system enhancements in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and queries to support fundraising, stewardship, and communications.
• Produce mailing lists, segmentation files, and data extracts for appeals, newsletters, and events.
• Analyze donor trends, giving patterns, and campaign performance to inform strategic planning.
• Validate data and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency across the organization.
