Job summary

The Tax Foundation is seeking a Development Operations Associate to support the Development team with events, donor acknowledgment, and project management from its Washington, DC office. The role reports to the Chief Advancement and Operations Officer and combines logistics, accounting, and Salesforce administration.

In this hybrid position, you will coordinate Tax Prom, manage vendor relationships, log gifts for audits, and help establish best practices for development processes while ensuring

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee logistics for development meetings and engagement events.
• Manage Tax Prom, Tax Foundation’s annual gala in November that draws approx. 800 attendees.
• Coordinate seating, sponsor and guest logistics.
• Collaborate with marketing to craft copy for marketing Tax Prom and emails.
• Serve as Salesforce database administrator and maintain data hygiene.
• Assist with logging and tracking gifts for audits and donor records.
• Track deliverables and manage weekly development team meeting agendas.
• Communicate cross-functionally to define projects and timelines.
