Job summary

StoryCorps is seeking a Development Associate to support fundraising operations, managing donor data in Salesforce and supporting reporting, pipeline development, and events. You will aid the Chief Revenue Officer and revenue team to ensure data integrity and effective donor relations.

The role requires a detail-oriented problem solver who can multitask, with a collaborative mindset. This union, full-time position involves occasional travel and weekly in-office presence in Brooklyn.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of experience with relational databases and data entry.
• Experience with events is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with others in a growing organization.
• Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality with donor information.
• Passion for StoryCorps’ mission.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and database management for a million+ contacts in Salesforce.
• Gift entry, checks, credit card gifts, EFT/Stock opportunities, matching gifts.
• Data hygiene and maintenance for reporting and accuracy.
• Donor stewardship letters and donor communications.
• Handle donor inquiries, online gifts, and updates to credit card info.
• Support scheduling, meeting prep, minutes, and follow-ups for executives.
• Process vendor and consultant invoices and assist Finance.
• Support income reporting, pipelines, and revenue projections.
• Assist with pipeline management and wealth-screening efforts.
• Contribute to event planning and donor stewardship activities.
