Job summary

SERV Development and Marketing in New Jersey is seeking a Development and Marketing Assistant to support the SVP of Development and Marketing and the team. This on-site role offers opportunities to develop communications, marketing, and fundraising skills within a nonprofit organization.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in English, communications, or marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with internal and external constituents.
• Flexible, adaptable, and detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized with excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with donor databases/CRMs and Canva design is preferred.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds; valid driver's license; flexibility for evenings/weekends and local travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support and maintain donor/prospect records in BLOOMERANG and SERV CRM.
• Process and acknowledge donations, invoices, and monthly statements; manage office supplies and event materials.
• Collaborate on internal and external communications, newsletters, social media, and marketing materials.
• Assist in planning and implementing internal and external events; mobilize volunteers and support revenue outcomes.
• Support fundraising activities including direct mail appeals and other mailings.
