Job summary

Cookie Cart seeks an experienced Development Manager to lead philanthropic relationship development and grow contributed revenue in Minneapolis. You will manage a diverse portfolio of donors, major gifts, corporate partners, and foundations, converting relationships into sustainable funding.

The role emphasizes strategic fundraising, grant management, and community engagement to support youth workforce development. Strong CRM, communication, and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Three to five years of fundraising, development, nonprofit advancement, grant management, relationship management, or related field.
• Proven experience managing donor relationships, fundraising initiatives, grants, sponsorships, partnerships, or business development activities.
• Experience coordinating fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, community partnerships, and revenue-generating initiatives.
• Experience utilizing CRM systems, fundraising databases, or relationship management platforms.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and follow-through.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors and philanthropic supporters.
• Cultivate, steward, solicit, and retain donor relationships through engagement and outreach.
• Coordinate donor communications, recognition, stewardship plans, and impact reporting.
• Develop and execute donor cultivation strategies to support annual fundraising goals.
• Track donor pipeline activity, giving trends, and retention metrics.
• Manage relationships with corporate partners, sponsorship stakeholders, and partnership activities.
• Oversee grant applications, reporting, compliance, and stewardship across departments.
• Coordinate grant narratives, budgets, proposals, impact reports, and funder communications.
