Job summary

Futures Without Violence (FUTURES) seeks a Development Manager in San Francisco or Washington, D.C., to lead grant writing, stewardship, and donor communications. You will partner with program and grants teams to craft proposals, secure funding, and manage foundation relationships.

You will build and refine systems for tracking grants, opportunities, and donor engagement, advancing the organization’s mission for safer communities and equitable health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in foundation relations, grant writing, or development, or equivalent combination.
• Proven success writing and managing complex grant proposals and reports.
• Strong project management with multiple deadlines.
• Experience with CRM and grant-tracking tools; building shared systems.

Responsibilities

• Draft and shepherd grant proposals, reports, and letters of inquiry in collaboration with program staff.
• Ensure submissions are accurate and aligned with funder requirements.
• Manage day-to-day funder relationships and maintain records in Salesforce.
