Job summary

Encompass is seeking a Development Manager to lead annual fundraising, donor stewardship, and community relationship-building efforts that strengthen philanthropic support. You will work with the Director of Community Impact to build donor pipelines, manage engagement initiatives, events, and sponsorships while expanding grant opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 3–5 years in fundraising, donor relations, development, or community engagement.
• Proven success managing fundraising campaigns, annual giving programs, or sponsorships preferred.
• Experience cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners preferred.
• Experience in a nonprofit and donor management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement fundraising strategies and annual development plans that support organizational goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, corporate partners, and community supporters to increase engagement and support.
• Manage annual giving campaigns, donor engagement initiatives, and a portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Identify, qualify and develop prospective donors to strengthen the fundraising pipeline.
• Lead corporate engagement efforts, including sponsorships and employee engagement opportunities.
• Develop donor stewardship, recognition, and engagement strategies to strengthen retention.
• Plan and execute key fundraising events (Annual Celebration, President's Luncheon, Big Event for Kids) and other donor experiences.
• Support grant-seeking efforts through research, proposals, applications, and reporting with the Director of Community Impact.
• Collaborate with leadership to share donor impact stories and advance fundraising objectives.
• Maintain donor data and reports to support engagement activities.
• Support board engagement and donor relationship-building efforts.
• Represent Encompass at community events to promote its mission and impact.
