Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5–10 years of advanced nonprofit or higher education development experience.
• Experience leading strategic fundraising initiatives and growing diversified financial revenues.
• Proven track record securing major and annual gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently to meet goals.
• Knowledge of local and national philanthropic communities and businesses in the region.
• Familiarity with donor management software (Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce).
• Strong donor stewardship and communication best practices.
• Excellent time, project, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support long-term strategic planning and day-to-day execution of development initiatives.
• Assist in creating and managing a tiered donor stewardship program.
• Manage a Charlotte portfolio of donors giving below $10k.
• Support activities to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
• Oversee fundraising and donor engagement projects and events.
• Supervise Development Coordinator based in Charlotte.
• Ensure data integrity and reliable reporting for donor insights.
• Develop processes to improve efficiency across fundraising activities.
• Monitor trends and best practices in donor engagement.
