Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an Assistant Director of Development for the School of Civic Life and Leadership (SCiLL). Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will help identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors while supporting development operations and donor communications.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with donors, alumni, colleagues, volunteers, and other constituents.
• Strong organizational and implementation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and details.
• Experience working with donor databases or CRM systems and using data to support fundraising and donor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop donor communications, impact reports, and recognition materials to strengthen donor relations.
• Maintain accurate donor records in DAVIE and support development reporting and budget management.
