Job summary

Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada is seeking a Development Manager to lead fundraising, donor cultivation, and event operations. The role plans and executes events, sustains sponsor relationships, and strengthens the organization’s visibility and financial sustainability.

You will collaborate with volunteers, vendors, and leaders to expand fundraising capacity, manage records, and ensure ethical fundraising standards in a full-time, in-person role based in Southern Nevada.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in development, fundraising, event management, or related fields.
• Proven ability to plan and execute events with multiple stakeholders and timelines.
• Experience cultivating corporate sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community partners.
• Strong organizational, project-management, and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute ongoing and new fundraising events in line with development objectives.
• Develop event plans, timelines, budgets, and resource needs; coordinate across staff, volunteers, vendors, venues, committees.
• Lead meetings with event chairs; communicate priorities, decisions, and follow-through.
• Manage event logistics from planning to post-event evaluation and budget reconciliation.
• Negotiate venue and expenses; maintain quality standards for event execution.
• Develop donor, sponsor, and community engagement activities and steward relationships.
