Job summary

Junior State of America Foundation seeks a Development Manager to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors and student fundraising. You’ll lead campaigns, manage events, and craft an imaginative social media strategy to grow our donor portfolio.

You will work with board directors and leadership to drive campaigns, reports, and engagement with alumni and donors, while ensuring data integrity and successful revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 3+ years of work experience in fund development or a related field.
• Working knowledge of fund development and donor stewardship best practices.
• Experience with social media, social media tools, and campaigns.
• Experience with CRM and outreach tools like Salesforce, ExactTarget, and Pardot.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Donor satisfaction orientation.
• Ability to handle sensitive materials and information with diplomacy, thoughtfulness, and confidentiality.
• Mission-driven, values-directed.
• Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute at least 2 comprehensive Annual Fund campaigns per year, including emails, direct mail, and social media, and recruit/manage volunteer callers.
• Author, design and coordinate segmented campaigns in email, direct mail, and social media.
• Manage guest registration and follow-up for events; coordinate event publicity.
• Create direct mail fundraising event invitations for 2+ events per year; deliver electronic invitations.
• Support solicitors with reports and data; oversee social media marketing for events.
• Manage event logistics, contracts with vendors, and interdepartmental coordination.
• Supervise volunteers and day-of event execution; support pledge tracking and fulfillment.
• Supervise data management and quality control; ensure data integrity.
• Manage vendors related to online giving platforms and donor stewardship.
• Collaborate with Admin, Finance and Program departments; monitor budgets.
• Produce performance metrics and reporting; contribute to strategy.
• Execute moves management and donor prospects tracking; assist major donors.
• Develop cultivation plans for high-priority donors and renewals.
