Job summary

The Children's Museum Houston is seeking a Development Associate in Houston, TX. This role supports donor database management, gift processing, acknowledgements, and reporting while assisting in annual campaigns and major gifts from foundations and corporations.

You will collaborate with the Development Team, coordinate fundraising events (some evenings/weekends), and help maintain donor relations, signage, and donor wall updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of non-profit development experience.
• Strong writing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all Development files and donor records in the database.
• Manage donor acknowledgements and gift processing.
• Conduct prospect research and compile donor reports.
• Provide administrative support for annual campaigns and events.
• Assist with fundraising events and gala activities.
• Coordinate donor signage and donor wall updates.
• Support audit documentation and annual report preparation.
• Liaise with other departments on development initiatives.
