Job summary

Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is seeking a Development Special Events Associate to support the DSE team across 7–9 annual fundraising events, donor communications, and budget tracking. The role emphasizes organized administration, guest list management, and on-site event execution in a fast-paced museum setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of office experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends as events require.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience with relevant knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • 1–3 years of office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the development special events department in fundraising and donor-related events.
  • Coordinate invitations, save-the-dates, host committee materials, and donor communications.
  • Collaborate with the database team to develop mailing lists and manage guest lists.
  • Maintain event records and budgets for 7–9 annual events and reconcile expenditures.
  • Assist with on-site event support, check-in, and volunteer coordination.
  • Prepare meeting materials and vendor/donor correspondence.
  • Ensure accurate donor records and recognition listings in the CRM.
  • Support with year-over-year event planning and reporting.
