Job summary

Exodus Cry in California leads fundraising and donor engagement as Director of Development. This senior role owns revenue strategy, cultivates high-level donor relationships, and drives event-based fundraising for sustainable growth.

You will scale the development function by building new donor pipelines, deepening partnerships, and leading the development and events teams. The role requires strategic vision, hands-on fundraising, and a track record of raising substantial gifts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Proven ability to raise $3M+ annually with major gifts.
• Experience managing donor portfolios and events.
• Leadership of cross-functional fundraising teams.
• Compliance with nonprofit fundraising regulations.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute annual and long-term fundraising strategy.
• Drive $3.5M+ in annual revenue across major gifts, monthly giving, and campaigns.
• Track performance against goals and adjust strategy as needed.
