Job summary

The Salvation Army in El Paso seeks a results‑driven Development Director to plan, develop, and oversee all fundraising activities within a formal fund development program and marketing strategy. You will lead the fund development team and work with staff to secure funding for shelter operations, services, programs, and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Advertising, Public Relations, Business Administration, or other related field.
• Three to five years’ experience performing development and fund-raising activities, with a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
• CFRE certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers the departmental budget and prepares operational reports.
• Manages annual and special campaigns, corporate and foundation support, major and planned giving.
• Provides leadership to the fund development team and guides staff to achieve fundraising goals.
• Develops and directs special event fund raisers and analyzes financial outcomes.
• Plans and coordinates donor recognition, retention, and upgrade programs.
