Job summary

The American Heart Association, Fort Worth, TX, seeks a Development Director to drive Heart Walk revenue and sponsor engagement. This hybrid role involves extensive travel and collaboration with corporate partners to meet fundraising targets.

You will build a robust donor pipeline, develop compelling proposals, recruit volunteers, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful events and sustained support for the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• 3 years of fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% locally and have reliable transportation.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local Heart Walk participation, sponsorships, and donations.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners and donors to meet revenue goals.
• Develop proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and cultivate volunteers; support leadership teams and event volunteers.
• Lead member engagement events for Cor Vitae giving society.
• Plan and implement Heart Walk events with internal and external partners.
• Maintain accurate CRM and data across Microsoft platforms.
• Collaborate with Marketing to support campaign communications.
